Child Nurture And Relief (Brand Names – CHINAR & CHINAR International) is a non-profit, non-religious, non-political, social impact organization with the mission “empowerment of orphans, vulnerable children and marginalized youth in conflict areas through quality education and socioeconomic initiatives”.
Currently we are running programs in Jammu & Kashmir (India) with a vision to expand to other parts of the India and the world.
Provides critical support to children from most vulnerable communities to enable them to attain quality education and sustainable livelihood
Works in low-resource government schools in collaboration with DOSE (Department of School Education) with the aim of school transformation for holistic development of children
Works with unemployed youth through skill development and entrepreneurship support to enhance their capacities to become self-reliant.
Not only is CHINAR an acronym for Child Nurture And Relief, it’s also a huge tree that is an integral part of Kashmiri tradition and is found in almost every village in the valley. CHINAR’s can grow up to a height of 100 ft. with a girth of up to 40 ft. and can live as long as 500 years.
