Child Development
We use a holistic community based approach to provide orphans and vulnerable children with a wholesome and nurturing environment without displacing them, so that they can blossom and reach their true potential – at home, at school and in the society. Children are provided with all the basic necessities including school fees, stationery, clothes, shoes, school bags, nutrition, hygiene kits and basic healthcare so that they can attend school and receive a quality education.
Livelihood Support
When families are in dire financial need, the guardians of children enrolled in our Child Development program are provided with a form of interest free livelihood support called community finance. This enables the guardians to receive stable income, become good role models and mentors to their children, raise their families in a nurturing environment and become self-reliant.

Quality Education
We work in low-resource government schools in collaboration with DOSE (Department of School Education) with the aim of school transformation for holistic development of children. Quality education is our primary focus for helping children in general and orphans and vulnerable children in particular. This is achieved by collaborating with private/public stakeholders. This program includes the following components: 1) Mainstreaming of orphans and vulnerable children and promoting girl education 2) Remedial education for children with low competency levels. 3) Community mobilization programs to bridge the gap between students, parents and teachers. 4) Teacher workshops to build their capacities so they can deliver quality education. 5) Modern classrooms using technology and interactive infrastructure.
Youth Development
A huge majority of Kashmiri youth is un-employed or underemployed and attaining a government job is the benchmark of being successful. Government jobs are scarce and private sector is still in nascent stage. Additionally, a significant number of skilled labourers are imported from other states, as dignity of labor has not evolved in Kashmir as in other parts of India. We work with unemployed youth through skill development, entrepreneurship support and counselling to enhance their capacities to become self-reliant. We collaborate with local/national partners like TISS, JKEDI, NRLM and government schools/colleges to implement the program.

Other Projects
Apart from our regular programs, we occasionally develop customized strategies for interventions if there is a compelling need on ground. These are categorized as special projects. If required, we also collaborate with other organizations for projects, which do not fall under our core areas of specialization.
Crisis Relief
During times of crisis and unrest, we provide immediate relief to families and children in distress. Over the years we have provided emergency aid and relief in response to multiple crises that have impacted the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially those individuals and families who are below the poverty line. Till date our relief activities have ranged from providing food, water and hygiene supplies, organizing medical care, carrying out rescue operations, building shelters, reconstructing homes, providing livelihood support, building community learning centers and much more.
