The beneficiaries enrolled in our programs are primarily orphans, widows, vulnerable children and marginalized youth living in conflict areas of Jammu & Kashmir.
The beneficiary receives your donations in the form of education, nutrition, health needs, livelihood support, skills development etc.
Beneficiaries for our programs are selected in accordance with comprehensive selection criteria and their eligibility is verified by responsible community members. We conduct multiple reference checks, collect baseline data about each individual/family, verify financial status (income, expenditure and assets), perform verification visits to selected individuals/families, make final selections and then sign the contract. Based on our consultation with Islamic scholars, our Child Development (Sponsor a Child and Educate A Child), Livelihood Support and Crisis Relief programs are all zakat eligible as the beneficiaries enrolled in these programs are extremely poor and needy children, youth and families. Our other programs and projects are also zakat eligible as all beneficiaries are poor and needy. In summary, over 90% of the expenses incurred by CHINAR international are zakat eligible based on our consultation with various scholars. All of our core programs need funding. However, during times of crisis, the needs for our programs or projects can vary depending on the ground situation. Donation appeals for specific programs are advertised on our website home page or through social media channels as required.
Your donation will be used to support the beneficiaries enrolled in the program and project that you select at the time of donation. Funds collected are used to support the beneficiaries educationally, financially and socially to help them become self-reliant and reach their full potential.
We do not receive and/or exchange any funds with the government. We only partner with the government to get access to beneficiaries (children and youth) and institutions.
